Children of Lebanon Project to benefit SOS Children’s Villages, Lebanon. Similar to the Adventures in Candy Land Project of 2006, these elementary school children wrote and acted a play War – What is it for? Their creative abilities raised $647.00 before matching.
Water Balloon Madness to benefit the Phoenix Academy of Vancouver, was organized by students and held during their school sports day. Water balloons were sold to students to throw at their teachers on the sports field. A total of 2500 balloons were tossed raising a total of $3000.00 before matching.
Adventures in Candy Land to benefit the Canadian Red Cross. Initiated by 8 elementary school aged children this fundraiser took the form of a live play and silent auction. The performance was written and acted by the children and the silent auction items were hand crafted by the children. This heartwarming performance raised $900.00.
Rock This Joint to benefit the Children’s Arthritis Foundation of Vancouver. The atrium of the Vancouver Public Library downtown was the venue for an amazing evening of fashion organized by students in conjunction with the John Casablanca modelling agency. This trendy fashion show with student models raised $ 12,747.00 before matching.
A Year of Creative Fundraising to benefit the Round Square Organization. Students did a multitude of small school based fundraisers and raised $2367.00 before matching.
Winter Charity Ball to benefit the Children’s Foundation of Vancouver. Student volunteers from three Vancouver independent schools organized a fun, play money casino night with dancing and a desert buffet evening at a local downtown hotel. With 500 guests in attendance the event raised $5000.00 before matching.
